NCCAFV provides prevention services by bringing together community and national stakeholders, volunteers and professionals
to prevent intergenerational family violence: child abuse and neglect, spouse/partner abuse, and elder abuse and neglect.

Too many families experience abuse -- child abuse, spouse/partner abuse, elder abuse -- in one or more of its many forms: emotional, physical, verbal, sexual, economic. It is expressed through violence, intimidation, abusive language, controlling behavior and exploitation.

More than ever before, people are aware of the painful and often long lasting effects of abusive behavior within the family. No longer does a family member need to suffer silently — help is available NOW.

Assistance for individuals and entire families seeking help is now available from law enforcement, public and private social service agencies, churches, shelters and the legal and medical communities.

NCCAFV provides this website to assist, inform and link victims with those individuals and agencies who volunteer to serve in this national safety network.
